As many Nigerian protestants stormed the Lekki Tollgate today for the memorial car procession in honour of the peaceful protesters reportedly massacred, Nigerians and celebrities have taken to social media to recount some of their experiences from the 2020 End SARS protest.

Nollywood actress Adesua Etomi, who is the wife of popular singer and actor Banky W in a post via her Instagram account, revealed she was six months pregnant during the End SARS protest.

Adesua Etomi recounted that she was crying her eyes out while hearing the gunshots from her house.She wrote, “I can never forget this day.

I was 6 months pregnant, crying my eyes out, hearing the gunshots from our house. Sitting in the darkness out of fear. I can’t possibly imagine how terrifying it must have been for those at the toll gate.I can never forget. For the lives lost throughout the protests, I will never forget.”
