Nollywood actress Remi Surutu has slammed a follower for criticizing her over her failure to mourn her colleague, Baba Suwe, publicly.
Following the demise of the comic actor on Monday 22nd November 2021, many Nollywood stars had taken to their Instagram page to mourn the deceased, sharing his photos and accompanied by some of his funny memories.
However, Remi Surutu has failed to share the picture of the veteran actor on her page, and a follower slide into her direct message to criticize her for not mourning Baba Suwe.
The follower wrote : Shey baba Suwe was a joke to people like you ni….that journalists are posting him to wish him eternal rest before you people. Shame.
Responding to this, Remi Surutu blasted the follower, saying it is silly to joke about something that one should not joke with.
Remi Surutu said she does not do things for Instagram like her colleague and do not need to post Baba Suwe’s photo on her page to show she is grieving over the heavy loss.
The actress warned the follower not to be insensitive about the recent death nor use her to chase clout.
She wrote: You, silly people, think you can just slide in any celebrity dm to talk trash about something no one should joke around with…You are as dumb as for you to realize that I don’t do things for the gram like others do, I don’t need to show publicly that I’m giving as much as I could for such a sad and heavy lost for us!
Yet you’re asking me why I couldn’t post a dime thing. What a silly question to live my life for you nor do I run my page for u? Don’t u ever think before you talk as old as you are getting! You dare be sensitive and not clout chase with me! shameless people all around.
