Murphy Afolabi, a Yoruba actor, is recognized for his thick Yoruba accent. Indeed, there are memes of the actor on social media, with people mocking his speech, even when it is in English.
In a recent interview with the BBC, the actor revealed that he is from Osogbo, in the state of Osun, which explains his accent. He claims that there is nothing he can do about it and that he has accepted it.
If Afolabi tries to speak without his accent, he claims that people will not be able to hear or comprehend him.
