The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) has established a Health Trust Fund in response to the high rate of death among Nollywood actors and actresses due to health issues.
The Endowment Fund was launched by the group’s president, Bolaji Amusan, at the opening ceremony of the Conference of Nigerian Arts and Films (CONAF), which took place in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, on Thursday.
The goal of the TAMPAN Endowment Fund, according to Bolaji Amusan, was to pay for the medical treatment of suffering members.
The fund was established in response to an increase in the number of Nollywood actors dying as a result of health issues.
