• Niyi confirmed that he first met his wife in Johannesburg, at a cosmetics store, adding that it wasn’t easy for him to get her phone number.
Former Big Brother Naija season 6 Shine Ya Eye contestant and ex-housemate, Adeniyi Lawal, simply known as Niyi, alongside his lovely wife, Mrs Bella Bar Lawal have appeared on Ndani TGIF show.
Niyi and Bella, during their exclusive interview, and fun session with the media firm, spilled some tea about their marriage, including how and where they met each other.
According to this lovely couple, who currently have one kid together, Niyi met Bella in Johannesburg, in a cosmetics store, when he went for shopping.
The reality TV star also revealed how he struggled to get his wife’s phone number. He earlier asked for it, but she couldn’t give it to him. He was able to get the number after Bella’s assistant called, to give it to him.
Sharing her point, Mrs Lawal noted that Niyi came as the right man for her, adding that when she saw him, she knew immediately that he’s her husband.
And Niyi confirmed as well, that his wife has been repeating to him that when she saw him, she already knew he was her husband.
Niyi said: “Oh! this story again. Mmm. So yes, fine boy, fresh boy. I walked into the store in Johannesburg, it’s a cosmetics store. So I saw this beautiful, lovely you, princess.
“I was like wow, who’s this girl, I’ve not seen you here before. And she started giving me this whole special treatment. You know, all those things that was like greenlight, you know, to pop in on my face.
“To cut the story short, I spoke to someone that I already know in the store. (I earlier spoke to my wife, but she didn’t give me her number). I spoke to the person, the person didn’t give me her number, and I told her nobody has ever denied me their number, like girls obviously.
“Two days later, her assistant decided to call me and say you know what, okay, this is her number.”
Facing his wife, Niyi asked her to spill the tea if she actually informed her assistant to contact him. “Babe, spill the tea here, because I really want to know, did you tell her to contact me?,” Niyi asked.
The wife laughed, (Niyi added, “…because at this point, I need to know”). Then, the wife said, “She asked me, ‘what do you feel like, should I give him your number or not?’, and I was like, are you serious, give him the number.”
Mrs Bella Lawal continued, “The thing is that when I saw him, I knew immediately he was my husband. Like, I knew it.” Cutting her short, Niyi added, “Guys, I’ve never heard such a crazy thing in my entire life. She keeps telling me that the first time she saw me, she knew I was her husband. Like! Me I was just trying to have fun and all of that.”
