Nigerian comedian and skit-maker, Debo Adedayo popularly known as Mr Macaroni recently ran into the king of his hometown, King Adedotun Aremu Gbadebo III, the Alake of Egba Land.

Mr Macaroni took to his official Twitter page to share the video showing the moment he bumped into his town’s head and also revealed that he is an indigene of Abeokuta.

According to his statement, Mr Macaroni said “Bumped into the King of my Home Town, The Alake of Egbaland, Oh yes! I’m from Abeokuta”

The heartwarming video showed the moment the popular skit-maker went down before the King as a sign of respect just as the king shook his hand and prayed for him.

It’s not everyday people get the opportunity to meet with the King of their hometown but Mr Macaroni was lucky enough to meet his town’s king and he lived up to expectations with an act of humility.

Meanwhile, the younger ones are taught to be respectful and humble in the presence of elders in Yoruba culture and Mr Macaroni epitomised that in the video.

In addition, Mr Macaroni has proven to us that fame doesn’t have to get in the way of humility and also that to go higher in life, one must be respectful especially to elders.
