Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham has been ignored by the African Magic Viewers Choice Awards despite being crowned the highest grossing actress in Nigeria.
The most prestigious movie award released its nominees list on Sunday night, March 19 and the actress wasn’t on the list.
This is a surprise to many as Toyin Abraham fondly called World Best, grossed the highest movie in Nigeria.
Last year 2021, Toyin Abraham produced her movie, The Ghost and The Tout Too which did so well at the box movie.
It’s unfortunate that the movie didn’t make it to this year’s AMVCA edition.
It was recalls Toyin Abraham emerged the most paid Nigerian actress for the year 2021.
Beating Funke Akindele, Mercy Johnson, Mercy Aigbe, Iyabo Ojo and other colleagues to the feat, Toyin Abraham proudly shared the information on her Instagram page hours ago.
According to the Nigerian Box Office year book, Toyin Abraham’s the Ghost and the tout too, the prophetess and Aki and pawpaw movie earned her over N357million thus becoming the highest paid Nigerian actress for 2021.
Bragging about the achievement, Toyin Abraham wrote
“Just in case my shoulder is high (joking) I just say let me remind you again this morning, congratulation to everyone on the list”.
