Veteran nollywood actress Mrs. Esther Idowu Philips popularly addressed as Mama Rainbow has narrated why she was tagged cheapest actress by producers and colleagues during her active years in theatre industry.

Mama Rainbow said some of the producers she worked with during her active years on stage usually shortchanged her for payment of her service as actress in their movies.
She lamented that whatever given to her then, she would still appreciate it because it will help her to put food on table for her children.
Mrs. Philips told BBC News Yoruba in an exclusive interview that things become very hard for her when her husband died on January 22, 1984 and left five children behind.
According to Mama Rainbow, she said taking care of five children and house rent without support from anyone was very hard for her. She said she stood her ground in the industry and work hard so that she can shoulder responsibility her husband left behind.
She recounted how she usually trekked from movie location to her resident in Lagos. The elated woman who owns a foundation now said she is grateful to God that gave her tenacity to stand and achieve greatness in life.
