Popular Nollywood actor, Michael Ajibola Daboiku, better known as Jibola Dabo, has cleared the air regarding his alleged relationship with actress, Binta Ayo Mogaji. In an exclusive interview with Punch Newspaper, Dabo admitted that he dated Binta in 2000 but their relationship hit the rock after he moved to the US.
According to him, he has already cleared the air about the matter but for the sake of those who don’t know, he was never married to the actress. He narrated that it is true that Binta had a pregnancy with him and because she was not young when it happened, he did not ask her to abort the pregnancy.
He said their relationship ended because of the incompatibility of their lifestyle. Dabo narrated that when he moved to the US in 2000, communication became an issue between them because there was no phone at that time. He later found a wife there who is a Black American.
He wanted to continue his relationship with Binta but because of their differences in lifestyle, he had to end the relationship.
“My wife in the US is a Black American. She is partly a native American-Indian and a Black American. So, Ayo Mogaji and I were never married, though she got pregnant. We were very mature about the situation.” He stated.
