Tope Alabi finally admitted that she was wrong to have publicly called out a fellow singer Toluwalase Adelegan who sang the hit gospel track known as ‘oniduro mi’.
The song was made more popular by another Nigerian gospel singer, Adeyinka Alaseyori who made and released a remix of the song.

Tope Alabi came under fire after a video went viral in which she condemned the lyrics of her colleague in the gospel music industry which referred to God as ‘Oniduro Mi’, meaning ‘My Guarantor’ in the English language.
The singer in the viral video, condemned the word ‘oniduro‘, noting that God was more than ‘Oniduro’ to her, insisting she would never sing the song again even though she likes it.
According to Alabi, there was a time she wanted to sing the song to exalt God but the Holy Spirit cautioned her against taking such an action.
Her stance on the song had attracted a lot of outrage and condemnation from Nigerians but Evangelist Alabi has now come out to apologize for her earlier statement, acknowledging that she made a mistake by externalizing a personal message.
She added that Evangelist Adelegan who sang the song is her daughter in the ministry and the matter has been settled amicably.
