Odunlade Adekola, a Nigerian actor, is in the Netflix original film Elesin Oba: The King’s Horseman, which has received mixed reviews from some of his admirers.
The late Biyi Bandele, who passed away in August, directed Elesin Oba, a movie adaptation of Wole Soyinka’s Death and the King’s Horseman.
The film is based on the true story of a King’s horseman (Odunlade Adekola), who must sacrifice his life in accordance with custom to secure the deceased King’s safe passage to the afterlife.
