Nollywood actress and content creator Funke Akindele-Bello has taken to her Instagram page to celebrate 14 years of praying the ‘Jenifa’ character.
It was recalls Funke Akindele got her breakthrough in Nollywood when she played the main character in a comedy-drama movie, Jenifa, where she acted as a ‘local girl’ from the village and Lagos in search of a ‘better life.
The movie was entertaining and hilarious and a massive success that she did well to harness the potential and inspire her ongoing TV series Jenifa’s Diary.
Since then, Jenifa’s Diary has become a household name in most Nigerian homes and features talented artists such as Lota Chukwu, Folarin Falana (Falz Da bad guy) and Lolo, JJC Skillz and many others.
Taking to her Instagram page, Funke Akindele expressed appreciation to her fans for their support over the years.
She wrote: Been playing the #jenifa character for 14 years!!
