Femi Adebayo hails from Ilorin, Kwara State, but grew up in Lagos State. He attended primary and secondary school at Lagos State. He also attended University of Ilorin and University of Ibadan where he obtained a bachelor’s degree (LLB) and a Master’s degree (LLM) in Law respectively.
He had developed a passion for acting when he was young because he used to follow his father to the movie sets. He started his acting career in 1985 by training with a theater group, “Awada Kerikeri”, a group led by his father.

His father saw the acting talents in him and gave him a part to play in his movie, titled, “Ogun Ajaye”. However, he practiced law for some years after his university education before he later left the profession to become a full-time actor like his father. He became popular after releasing his hit movie, titled, “Jelili Oniso”.
Femi Adebayo is now one of the successful Nollywood actors. He has featured in more than 100 Nollywood movies. He has also established a Film production school like his father.
